Photos of my wet iPhone working again after dismantling it
I attended my daughter’s friend’s birthday party last weekend and guess what? I fell in the pool, all dressed up, with (among others) an iPhone in my pocket. Needless to say that the pretty Apple device turned into a wet brick which would not even switch on.
I initially decided that rather than throwing it away, I would at least dismantle it (for the geeky joy procured by looking into its guts) and share that joy by uploading a few pictures on this blog.
To my biggest surprise, the iPhone started working again after reassembling it !! Read more for more pictures !!

- Dismantled iPhone showing the red water contact indicator
(update) By the way, this is the red contact indicator that would tell Apple customer service that my phone fell in the water !!

And how red did your liquid contact indicator (LCI) turn?

It is definitely red. I am re-uploading one of the pix on which I circled the red indicator !!
Well, in my case the red thing really shows that it was in contact with water and should not be replaced by Apple.
You can’t kill the damn iphone that easily

The red water is use as an excuse to not refund the iphone, right ?
